Our seafront was awarded the Blue Flag back in 1999 and the main water-quality monitoring station is positioned very close to the Villaggio Gilda camp site. Proof of the quality of our environment is that Roseto degli Abruzzi is one of the few sites anywhere in Italy where the Loggerhead sea turtle (Caretta caretta) builds its nest.
The beach slopes gently down into the sea, making it the ideal place for children or for anyone just getting to know the sea. Swimming here is perfectly safe – it’s just like a huge natural swimming pool, where anyone can enjoy bathing and swimming in beautiful blue waters.
Wonderful walks, beach games, a beach volleyball court – just some of the activities that await you on our private beach with its splendid fine sands.
Right next to our village is Borsacchio Nature Reserve – with its several miles of beach and wilderness, it’s the perfect place for you to enjoy intense, direct contact with the sea and nature.
Our Tartarughino (baby turtle) bar is right on the sea, an ideal place for just hanging out and enjoying the excellent drinks and snacks in excellent company.
